Bittersweet moments...

Today was very emotional for me. Our friends are leaving for Congo this week and tonight was their last church service with us for 4 years! I was doing fine until the song "Pray for Me" by Michael W. Smith was played. That's when I totally lost it and sobbed my eyes out! That song gets me every stinkin' time I hear it! It's cool to see how the Lord has been working in the Ralston's lives since 2006. They are going to Congo, Africa to help with Pioneer Christian Hospital. Art will be the maintenance man and Danielle will be doing administrative work for the hospital. Please pray for them. I love them so, so much and am very happy to see them excited about leaving. It's killin' me though!

Wow! That's really great that they are going to serve God in Congo. I'm sure God will send someone to fill in the gap that they left.

Hey,

You don't know me, but I'm sorry about your friends moving away. I know how that is because I'm an MK with New Tribes Mission and I've had to experiance both moving and seeing friends move quite a lot. I was wondering if you were going on the July-Aug trip this year to Papua New Guinea?

I am going to the July-August trip. I'm incredibly excited and also nervous to leave home. I've wanted to go to PNG since I was 10 ( I'm 17) and the Lord has really laid it on my heart to take the Gospel as a nurse to some unreached tribe that has never heard about Jesus (Romans 15:20-21) Where do/did you live in PNG?

Hey,

I didn't live in PNG, but lived in the Philippines for 3 1/2 years when I was little. I am also 17 and will be going on the July- Aug. Trip. So I'll actually get to meet you! You can look at our Ntm website at www.ntm.org/david_abbott if you want.

Hey,

Yeah I can't wait to meet the team. I go over to the summit office all the time to look at the pictures of everyone on the team and stuff. I just went over yesterday and there are still new people being added to the team. It's so exciting! I'll be praying for you too!

I'll have to go over and count again.. theres quite a few though! I've been done with school for this year since Febuary, so I don't have to worry about that. There are a few younger people, but I really don't know their ages. They all look like they are going to be really nice though.
